TAL BENAMI TAKES 1ST COE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER ! Since joining the COE program in 2006 from our Chatsworth ECA program, Tal has shown dedication and discipline to improving as a footballer. He has developed into a very strong and skillful player by being focused at every session and giving 110%.
The coaches were looking for a player who has shown obvious improvement throughout their time in COE. The COE MVP is the player who will do all he/she can to better themselves. They show understanding and knowledge of the game. They react to what they are told/shown with maturity.
On behalf of all the coaches at Little League, well done Benami !!!
4th Little League Schools Championship December 2008 For the 4th time in 2 years, young and keen footballers met at the Overseas Family School (OFS) for Little League’s 4th Schools Championship. Representing international schools, OFS, Canadian International School (CIS), International School Singapore (ISS), Chatsworth and Tanglin Trust School (TTS), the day was set to be another success. TSUYOSHI IN HIS COACHING ROLE Last week's summer camp at the Premier Pitch was a first and indeed a huge development for Little League Soccer. Whilst Little League strives to produce talented young footballers, it was fantastic to see one of our COE players make the next step and join Darren, Matt, Dawood and Douglas as one of the coaches for the kids that joined the camp from 4th-7th August. Tsuyoshi Yoneda has been with Little League since the age of 6, and this week showed that as well as listening to the coaches and developing as a player, he has also been observing how to conduct a session, work with children and how to be a coach. Working with Matt and Zul all week with the U6 age group, Tsuyoshi showed the maturity, conduct and professionalism it take to be a coach with Little League. "Tsuyoshi jumped straight into the coaching role. He was confident, relaxed and fantastic with the kids. I would definitely be very happy for him to work with me in the future on a regular basis. Also getting into coaching at a young age will help him with his own game." said Matt. Tsuyoshi will continue to work with the guys at Little League on a regular basis (school willing) and no doubt he will continue to develop into a great coach. Well Done Tsuyoshi !!! 3RD LITTLE LEAGUE SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP MAY 2008 @ OFS With the sun shining down on OFS on Saturday it was the perfect environment for the 3rd Little League Schools Championships. DREAMS COME TRUE ... 12th June 2006 is a special day for Mohd Hanafi, Wee Wei Liang and Deric Huw. The 3 boys went on a trip to Germany (accompanied by coach Matt, coach Douglas and Doreen) and watched a FIFA World Cup match live in Hannover where Italy played Ghana. These 3 15-year old boys from the Elias Park FC, who have been training under Little League since they were 9, have been identified as extremely skillful soccer players with tremendous potential. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the boys, and we would like to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to DHL Asia Pacifc who is Little League's title sponsor, for sponsoring this trip and for helping to fulfill the dreams of these aspiring young footballers. Click here for more pictures and to find out what the boys have to say. What has been going on at OFS ? Wow! What a year so far down at the Overseas Family School on a Saturday morning and Thursday afternoon. Children have been flocking down the school field to get stuck in to their soccer with the Little League’s coaches, including Darren, Matt, Dawood, John and Andy. The green field has become awash with yellow with white dots as all of the Little Leaguers have been decked out in their new soccer uniforms and kicking around new soccer balls, all sponsored by DHL. LITTLE LEAGUE SECURES TITLE SPONSORSHIP BY DHL INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2005 IN BANGKOK The Bangkok tournament was an excellent exposure for the kids playing against foreign talents from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong and China. It was the 1st time some of the boys were playing together but it didn't show as they were playing as a team, passing well and communicating well. All the 3 teams-U10s, U12s, U14s were full of technical ability and above all, were full of character and team spirit, and this certainly showed throughout the whole trip from meeting at the airport on Friday night to arriving back on Sunday night - a pleasure to see from a coach's perspective. We wish to thank all the players, and the parents who travelled to support the teams. Special thanks to "Can-U-Kick-It" Bangkok for organising the tournament. Click here for the full report from the coaches, testimonials from the parents and the many exciting photos. SIR BOBBY ROBSON DAY, 8TH FEBRUARY 2005 It was a great session with Sir Bobby. Kids had a once in a life time experience and hopefully we will get another one when he returns in April next. Little League would like to thank Sir Bobby, ESPN and Breitling for making this memorable day happen.
